Should Burkha be banned or made it compulsory???

I am not against any religion particularly...i just wanted to know the reason behind the ladies wearing BURKHA.
I have seen girls who are compiled to wear them..when they are not ready to wear the long black cloth hidding them from the rest of the world.

The burka is a custom or cultural accessory and even then should not be applied to girls if the girl is not menustrating yet. Islam does not avocate wearing a burka.

One of my friend doesn't like to were burka and she hates it. But her parents and cousins force her to were burka on the name of religion. I think it is too cruel to force someone into something which they don't like.

i have seen girls wearing burkha when they come out of their homes...when in college they just remove them and move about freely. When asked them they say..they have no option, as they cannot go against their religion. dont you think things now need to be changed with the changing world??

I dont think so..at least if few people come forward..especially the people who are bound with this custom..then this dicussion can lead to a good result

i hate this custom of wearing burkha..i am a muslim ,but i just hate customs like this..its not right to harass women like this.they too have the right to live and this is not the way to believe in religions..they are compelled to it and if they resist ,which they wont,they will be punished for it...
