no, because how often do anyone, except tourists, really look at signs anymore. I remember, in my town, a new set of four way stop signs had been put in, and I ran them I don't know how many times. It wasn't until I was with a friend, that wasn't from that part of town, that called my atention to them, befor eI even knew they were there...

That's happened to me. you've gotten so used to something that you just don't see it anymore. But i really like that sign. it was definitely something that caught my attention!

It didn't make me stop and think...but it did make me giggle at the level of DUH!
Not long after moving to this area, there was a huge news thing about a mountain lion in the nature park that sat at the end of two schools...middle school and elementary. Just so happens, my kids went to those schools.
Parents were afraid to let the kids play recess because the woods bordered the playground. Dogs was being eaten where people's backyard faced the woods. And the nature park was closed for two weeks while they were trying to trap the animal.
But...the animal was smarter than the trappers and they never caught it.
They think it moved out of the area because of all the attention...but it could come back or others.
So, to alert people that there could be a danger in the nature park, they put up a sign of hours AND a sign that read, "This is a nature park, wild life is present."
Come on, can you say it with me? Here's your sign! :) LOL

That is hilarious, and hello! Another bill engvall fan. I laugh at all of that stuff. And i laugh at my wife, her favorite sign ever is "Slow chilren at play" she says, it's not their fault they're slow. LOL Recently i've seen it changed to "Caution, children at play" which isn't nearly as much fun.

I think that it might make some people slow down, especially when they first saw the sign for the first time. After it had been there for a while though, I think that there are far too many people who would be so used to it that they would just zoom past it again. I know that if I were new in the area and saw a sign like that it would definitely make me think twice.

Hmmm.... That one would probably catch my attention enough to slow down at least long enough to re-read it, just to make sure I read it right any way. LOL
