online friends

Is it safe to have online friends? can we encourage it? Recently a girl all the way from london has to come to india to tie the knot with a boy whom she met and fell in love online.

I am a little wary of meeting people online. I think its a little frightening. I will talk to people, but I never give too much info because you always hear stories about people being killed or abducted. I guess if you are careful, its ok

i dont see why not. i have met a lot of people from mylot and myspace that i still keep in touch with. i have met people from myspace over 2 1/2 - 3 years ago and we still keep in touch. people that have things in common with are easier to stay in touch with. for example i am 18 and have a 2 yr old daughter so other girls that are in the same situation, we agree on a lot of things. good luck but be careful

Your view on this subject is welcome. Things should not go beyond certain limit. Its always good to have friends.

It isnt that people behind a cubicle or behind the computers are not reliable you never know when the person near to you turns his/her back! Relations should be encouraged as long as people appreciate it and there isnt any complications as to this should be discouraged!
