Are we winning the war in Iraq and is adding more soldiers to the fight a good thing or not? Should we just pull out entirely and the country sort out its own mess? Will Saddam's death increase on the deaths of servicemen and woman?

When it comes to the war, there is nothing to win...there never has been. It appears that tribal conflicts still determine the behaviour of the citizens, which renders them ill prepared for a "Democracy-like" government. Adding troops will not help. It will just give the radicals and criminals more excuses to blow people up.

Why do people continue calling the presence of allied troops in Iraq a war? No war has been declared, that I know of. President Bush has only declared "war" on terrorism. It's simply a manner of speech. It would seem that the Iraqui's are still not set on helping themselves although they have been given every opportunity to do so. Here's the scenario as I see it. If we pull up stakes now with no definitive good results we will be criticized for abandoning those Iraquis who want us to stay and help them. If we stay we will be criticized for letter our soldiers die for a cause justified by protecting our own country and its citizens against terrorism. Now I put it to you which scenario would you prefer?

their is no WINNING for anybody in Iraq. the Iraq people will never conform to the type of goverment that America has proposed and this caos will continue forever. Nobody has control in Iraq; it's just a zoo of maniacs running wild. Taking Saddam out of power was a big mistake. He was evil but at least he kept Iraq under control.
