Well, that depends on what do you classify as evil. I will suppose that you are talking about natural disasters okay?
An earthquake is not caused by human interference on the earth. It happens, and so tsunamis happens. It is a fact of nature, that you can understand once you read about geology and they just happen. Innocent people die on them, but there is not much one can do about, on the other hand if you are a religious, god fearing person, think that earthquakes happen and god allows them, they must be his gifts or punishments.
The other natural disasters, they happen more or less naturally, but humans have his (great) share of guilt. We are making the world warmer and warmer, this affect the oceans, and this affects the weather, and we are getting what we asked for when we get floods, excessively strong hurricanes (they are natural, but global warming may be making them bigger and stronger).
So, my opinion, on some natural disasters we are innocent (earthquakes and tsunamis). On others partially guilty (hurricanes), and on others totally guilty (floods on cities that were built not taking these problems in account).

I think it has something to do with the bad way humans treat Earth. That's what's causing global warming, according to the pros. Then there's the El Nino (sp?) thing too. Is that just nature and what happens every now and then, or did we cause that too? Well I'm into recycling to help, and am in the process of becoming involved with a local global warming group. I don't know why I do. I mean, I don't have children. Maybe it's becauseI feel that the next generation shouldn't have to pay for our mistakes and those of the generations before us.
