Finding A vacation house to rent in Maine

Every summer, my family and I vacation in Maine and we try to stay in the south coast area. We use sites like cyberrental and Garnsey brothers to find houses for rent but when we're there we see a lot of signs in cottages along the coastline. I was wondering if there's anyone here who knows people that have vacation houses for rent in that same area i.e.; Wells to York beach area.
