Poe. Possibly because I live so close to Baltimore and i do have an affinity to locals. But i think it's his tragic and traumatic life that comes through in his work.

Aliester Crowley. He was such a talented and prolific author. His works contained so very much esoteric value! A complete joy to read and second would be the dark menacing Edgar Allen Poe!!

My favorite peot is actually Billy Joel. Yes he is a Rock and Roll artist but since he writes all his own lyrics that makes him a poet in my mind.

I quite like the poems and short stories of Edgar Allan Poe. I used to have a book of his complete works but I lost it last time I moved house.

I like Robert Frost too. My favorite poem is "The Road Not Taken". When he starts to mention the woods, for some reason I always think of Ralph Waldo Emerson walking through the woods that surround Waldon pond, and go back in time to when things appeared to be so much easier and people were much more friendly. The main reason I like the poem is because of what Frost's message is. I think every kid chould read that before Jr. High, and definately before HS. I wished I read it before then. I think it might have helped me out some.

My favourite poet is Robert Browning. I love all his poems. If I am given one more option, I will go for Pablo Neruda who recites his poems so well (in Spanish) that we all (I hope) will establish a very natural connection with Neruda the man and Neruda the poet.
