Im a non smoker, but my dad has smoked all my life and every year he decides for his new years resolution to quit, yet give him a month or so and you can be sure he's smoking again.. So this year when he said it,I decided to make a bet with him,and I thought i'll make it worth it.. If he doesnt smoke all year ( 2007 ) i'll give him $1000.00
but if he does, he owes me.
Could you do it and do you think the money is a good enough incentive ??

Well, I think the money is a good enough incentive, but you have to remember that a smoker is an addict. I smoked for 16 years and i had to really want to quit bad, real bad before i did. I struggled hard with it for 2 weeks, all the while still smoking every once and a while. Until finally, after much praying and much suffering, i realized that i had control over my own body if i wanted the control. I had an attitude change. I refused to let the addiction control me. No amount of money could have done it for me. It had to be me and i had to have the want to.
