I wanted suggestions on how to entertain my 3 month old. She needs to be carried around constantly. If I put her down she will sit there for about 2 minutes and then she starts crying and getting frustrated and upset. I can't get anything done around the house because I can't put her down. I've tried cleaning while she is in the baby carrier, but she HATES it too. She doesn't like her swing or bouncy seat either. Only for a few minutes at a time! Then when she naps, I want to nap too because I am just physically exhausted.

Try getting one of those baby gyms. You lay it on the floor than put your munchkin on his or her back and let them play. My son loved his we got him the baby ienstine discovery gym, but there are many different ones out there. Also, I would put my son in his crib when I needed to get some cleaning done. We had a Fisher Price Ocean wonders aqaurium in there and he loved it too. Good luck, I hope you can get some time to something you want.

My daughter will be 3 months old on the 1st of February. She to is a big handfull! She wants to be held constantly! If I put her down she cries and screams till I pick her up. She only takes like 5 minute naps. Its driving me nuts. None of my other kids were like this. I wish I could help, but I will keep checking back to see if anyone has any good advice.

I'm not sure what kind of baby carrier you have tried but it sounds to me like she would love baby wearing. I would try a sling or a wrap carrier. Then she is "being carried" while you still have two free hands to use. You can even learn how to make your own carrier super cheap at wearyourbaby.com Good luck.

it sounds like u have taken words of my mouth. i also have three month old son he is same as ur daughter. i need to carry him whole day.
what i do it give him a good massage bath in the morning after that he sleeps for 3 hours atleast. by the time he gets up its 1.30pm i complete my work in those three hours. once he gets up i give my 100% time to him make sounds talk to him etc. he gets tired within one or two hours. i put him to sleep and even sleep with him.
try massage bath u will also get some time for ur self.

Sorry, one more thing I forgot to post & this was the cure all for me :) I put her in the Stroller and laid the stroller back so she could lay down in it and then I got a fun stroller toy taht went across and she loved it. I would roll her in the stroller whereever I was cleaning and it was wonderful..

My daughter is now 15 months, but I ran into the same problem when she was 3 months.. & I don't know if you shop @ onestepahead but, it has some great stuff in there that helped entertain her. They have the baby gyms that other people have mentioned, a big square pillow that you can lay the baby on and bring them in the room where you are with toys. I had a not so good baby carrier too but then tried one that's at onestepahead that's like a sling type deal and your able to get more work done. But, do know that if nothing works... just play with her and don't worry about your housework.. I would do it when my husband got home from work and he would play or carry her around!

What kind of baby carrier do you have? Conventional ones aren't very comfortable. Try putting her on her tummy, but prop her up with a Boppy pillow or rolled up towel with some interesting toys in front of her.
Have you ever heard of a Mei Tai baby carrier? She might enjoy something like that more, and you can put her on your back where she can look around. My son is 20 months and loves to be worn on my back while I do dishes, laundry, etc.
