It's so hard to start a new discussion now, mostly every topic i want to talk about has already been discussed. and i dont want to start another discussion with same topic in fear that my account could get banned. and starting a discussion for questions like how was your day? and whats your favorite colour? is just too easy. and you dont get an actual discussion out of it.

I've been having the same thoughts myself. I think I've run out of discussion material. I'm afraid of answering past questions because I may have already answered. You could try answering discussions that were already started using your own interests. Just an idea.
