What would you about "Desired/Requested Pay" section on a job application?

My preference is to leave it "blank". However, increasinlgy employers are putting something like "All sections must be filled in otherwise the application will not be considered. Please review and fill in any blank sections".
Have you seen such kind of job applications? What would you put down in the pay section?

i write minimum or base pay. it's better than leaving it blank. yes i have seen some job applications like that and that's what i wrote to fix that problem.
