When you join a new web message board what do you do?

just jump in and start posting or do you post a message that introduces yourself to the people on the forum? sometimes I just jump in and let my member profile do the introductions, sometimes I will introduce myself

I jump right in and get to work. I love message boards and answering other people's questions.

me too. its always neat to see people on message boards from other countries too. I look at message boards as places to generate interest on any topic known to man. what did we do before the internet?

First of all i read the rules of the forum (also most of the time they are the same). Then I start looking for interesting discussion and respond if I want too.
