I didn't think too much about this film when I saw the trailer on television. I thought too myself what would happen if you put an actor who hasn't made a movie in years (costner) and a teen idol prankster with his own mtv show (kutcher) come together to make a thrilling-drama? After I saw the movie, it was certainly a trick question. This one of the best movie's I have ever seen! It had everything, it was funny, sad, exciting, and every scene left you watching the next. It was a rememberable experience. Does anyone else have their take on this movie

actually, my boyfriend and i had a debate first before agreeing on watching the film. my boyfriend hates costner. and i don't really mind who is the actor for as long as the movie seems to be interesting. after watching it, my boyfriend said the movie was really good. one of the best he had ever seen. the script is awesome. sad ending though.

Ever since I saw the trailer of The Guardian I really wanted to see it. I finally saw it this weekend and I thought it was an amazing movie. Both Costner and Kutcher played their characters fantastically and liek u said it was filled w/ everything: comedy, sadness, excitement, a little romance... Overall I think this is a great movie!

I was actually really surprised at Kutcher's performance as i have only seen him in comedies before but he was brilliant.
I loved this movie.

I agree with you it is my favorite movie of all time. but besides that fact, what are you talking about? "costner hasnt made a movie in a few years"--what about Whirly girl in the same year, rumor has it, upside of anger. you are mistaken.

I absolutely love this movie and I saw it in the movie theatre and just bought it today on dvd. It was great film but a very sad ending. It brought tears to me eyes at the end but would recommend others to see this film if they have not already. It is definitely worth watching. Both Kevin Costner and Ashton Kutcher were both very good in this movie. I was hesitant at first with this combination but they did great.
