How to cope up with new neighbors....

We are new in our place... We are just a small family. Since my husband and I are both working, we usully leave our son to my sister since we dont have household helper. It's only at night and weekends when we stay home and no time to mingle with our new neighbors... For almost a year now, we still dont know yet the names of our neighbors except for the store owner where we usually buy our basic needs. We are currently having a problem with some of our neighbors who uses our property, frontage to be exact for their personal advantage, like hanging clothes, parking their cars and motorcycles and even venue for their small gatherings... the worst part is leaving all the mess... i once tried to talk to them once, but they took it negatively... so sad....

Oh I feel so sorry for you, neighbours can make your life a misery or they can be a blessing,all I can suggest is talikng which it seems you have already done, some people just don't listen....I wish you luck,

Well, it sounds like you are going to have to get assertive with them! I would suggest writing them a letter telling them how you feel. Explain yourself so there is no room for mis-understanding. For example: Tell them, that you may not mind them using your yard for small get togethers, but you expect them to clean up the mess left by their guests. Make sure you get your point across.
