Think u r a good tipper. Do u leave a percentage of the total? Or do u tip accordingly? Meaning if u dine alone at lunch rush sit in a booth intended for 4 or more and drink water ur bill cant be more than $12 or $15 $2.50 would be standard by % but they should get $5. Be willing to tip more at busy times when dining alone or eat at the bar. A booth could generate anywhere from $10 to $20 but only if ur not in it. If u use a coupon apply the tip to the original amount not the coupon. If ur a bad tipper or refuse to tip dont run ur server. Its obvious when we have 10 differnt tasks going on thats night the time to pull me away for extra ice or ranch. If after 5 minutes they dont check back with u then do whatcha gotta do but not a second before. TO ALL U COFFEE DRINKERS WE DO NOT KNOW IF IT IS FRESH THE BUSSERS MAKE IT. We are alittle busy working dont make us lie to u we cant say no and we dont know if it is Let us pour if u dont like we will go find a busser & hook up some more. AND MOST IMPORTANTLY THE MOMENT U SIT DOWN THE TIME IT TAKES TO GREET U, TAKE UR BEVERAGE ORDER, BRING UR BEVERAGE, REFILL BEV. SOUP SALAD DESERT ALL US (USUALLY) ANY ERROR MY FAULT THE TIME BETWEEN ME TAKING UR DINNER ORDER AND THE TIME IT TAKES TO COME OUT ALL THE KITCHEN NOT ME

we don't have the custom of tipping in Australia but usually restaurants and such have a tip bowl at the counter, so if you feel you would like to leave a little you do but it is noe expected. I think it is better this way.

If there is a tip bowl at the counter seems to me the tips would have to be pulled then divided among the servers which is unfair tips is an acronym stands for "To Innsure Promt Service" a lazy server should not get paid for the work a good server did. In places where tipping is not customary does it cost more to dine out?

people are paid enough per hour that tips are just a bit of taxfree money we are not like the usa where waiters need tips to make any money at all waiters are paid about $15 per hour or more no matter if they are good or not

when i was in usa i only tipped for good service if the service was bad then i just paid the bill excluding any tips if the service was good i paid if the service was excelent i tipped a lot more for example at one bar a drink cost me say $3 service was good i tiped at least 50cents the waitress was excelent in her service and manner the tips increase to $2 per drink plus extra once in a while that waitress finished her shift and told the next waitress about me she gave excelent service too so i tipped well again everyone was happy at a hardrock restaraunt i had about 5 waiters asking me if i wanted another drink, more food, see if i was happy etc i called it harrasment abd when the bill cmae i took off the required 10% tip i was not going to pay for being annoyed while i ate

The only hardrock I have ever been to was in vegas and the servers were in stations what u experienced was an open floor basically a free for all no set station any table up for grab not a good odea if the establishment serves food. Dining requires personal attention knowing when the customer needs u and when they dont.
