In Australia it is law to wear a helmet. There are on the spot fines for not wearing one. I think its a great idea for safety reasons.

Have just started to ride around our little streets as we are rural and am trying to do this for exercise as walking is out for awhile longer, and have wondered about the helmut situation as have one to wear but have not ventured too far yet! Knowing my luck I shall get caught so will need to wear it from now on even for the short distances I do. As that is the law and it should be followed and sets a good example for the other young ones around here.

I know in Australia it is a law to wear the helmet whenever on a bike. Some places are really strict with it too. I have seen police booking children in QLD.

In India, it is a law to wear helmet while driving a 2 wheeler, but people generaly do not do so as the law is not strictly implemented. But i do not drive my vehicle without helmet, even if i have to drive for only a few metres.

There are probably a lot of other crimes that rate higher over there. It is important for safety though don't you agree.

I don't have a push bike. But as a saftey precaution, I would advise it for anyone, any age, to wear one all the time when on any time of bike.

I have not ridden a bike in years, but I do insist on my daughter wearing her helmet when she rides, also when she is on her scooter or skates.

Good on you. You would never forgive yourself if she had a fall and had a serious injury if she wasn't wearing one.

in the state of Pennsylvania, USA it's the law to wear a helmet when riding a push bike, but on a motorcylce if you have 2 years riding esperience and are 21 years old, u don't have too...Strange isn't it?
