When was the last time you walked somewhere to keep fit or unwind?

I don't tend to walk places very often, but sometimes it is nice to just go for a long walk to unwind. Do you do this?

I hope your feet are feeling better soon. Is it something that gets better or are oyu stuck with it like dermatitis etc? At least you are doing some exercise. Make sure you do something just to unwind.

I have had it now for almost a year as when I retired I started doing serious walking and then it happened, the tendon snaps in the foot and then it all inflames. It can go away, but it can also reoccur. It happened in both my feet but I am determined to get over it and start "living" again! lol

I have a foot problem right now, and cannot walk. But, before I hurt it, I took very long walks to unwind. I live in the desert, so I would go out to the foothills. No people at all around. I would just enjoy the time with the spirit of the Lord, and all the nature around me.

You are so sweet. This is going on for a year now. I could not afford the medical doctor bills or the treatments, so I am not heeling. I cannot use the crutches, so I use the can. But, I still have to walk and it hurts. I miss my long walks in the desert. It goes for miles and miles without a sound or a living creature. Have a blessed day dear.

I hope your foot is getting better. I know it has been painful for a while. How are the crutches going? Peace and quiet is great for the soul and for healing.

This afternoon, I am trying to go for a walk everyday, I bought a new counter thingy to measure my steps and calories I lose so that will keep me interested for awhile. I hope.:)

I used to walk all the time just for the joy of it, but unfortunately that has become rare lately. Last time I did it was after work and i didnt feel like waiting for the bus, so I went for a walk instead. I really should start exercising more, even though I get a lot of it at work I can always use more.

I seem to talk to myself about exercising more than actually doing it. I think if we do a bit each day and don't get too overweight its not too bad.

I take my four year old son for a walk around our neighborhood every afternoon. It is very relaxing for me, and my son really enjoys it. It a nice time for the two of us to talk.

I'm trying to be really, really good. I've been catching the train to work, which makes me have to walk. It is not as far as I know I should be walking but it is a start. A lot of Steps involved.

I keep telling myself I will walk but then something more important comes up and I am cleaning the house or driving a child to something. It will happen again soon though I'm sure.

I'm afraid I am the opposite to you. My motto is usually why walk when there is a perfectly good car sitting there looking at me?

I've always been a big walker and runner. Used to walk three miles to school to and back when I lived in the city which took about about 80 min. total about.

Wow. Good on you. Some people just live for this type of athleticism. I personally do not haha.
