Diets - Do you do them?

I hate diets. I tend to think about them more than do them. I much prefer to do a little extra exercise than skip a chocolate or something. What about you?

Have done well in the past with the odd diet or three! lol But for some reason lately have found it hard to stay clear of the yummy things that are in my pantry left over from Christmas, and the little voice in my head keeps saying to me "if you eat them all quick it will be better for you!" lol Well what more can I say?

I have been told that it has a lot to do whith when you eat. I try and have my main meal early in the day but it doesn't always work.

I think for a diet to really work you need to change your lifestyle not just skip meals etc. If you change to healthy foods that you will eat forever and not just a diet thing, it ends up being a lifestyle change and the weight loss is slow but stays off. good luck.

There are two dirty words in my vocabulary. One is diet, and the other exercise. I'm not into either. But, I know for my health I should.

haha. I don't usually diet. I sometimes just have a binge of healthy eating.... Exercise is also a bit sporadic around here. I think when you have small children around you tend to be running all the time anyway. So I am with you on that.

Glad I'm not the only one. I think of it in my head, but that is as far as the diet and exercise go. :)

Eat moderately, have balance meals and exercise moderately will be good enough. No need to diet or the next thing you know you missed those foods and start to binge on them which makes things worst. You can eat those chocolate but again, eat moderately. Instead of finishing all at one go, split the chocolate bar into 3-4 pieces and eat one piece each time you have the craving. See, you can have your cake and eat it!

I think if you do a bit of regular exercise, even if it just walking, it makes a big difference to your metabolism.

I totally agree with margieanneart on this one. I know I should take better care of myself but I don't. Chocolate is one of my biggest weaknesses and sitting here at the computer most of the day doesn't help either. But I can say that I haven't gained any weight in awhile.

That sounds like the kind of thing I do but only for a couple of days and then I'm back to whatever I feel like. Thanks for your comment.

Yes, i too hate diets. Exercise is always a better method to lose weights. Because dieting can be harmful to the health and one can gain weight if they give up the diet program.
