...mining Gold, Silver and Platinum. Have any of you considered the fine art of Panning?

Yes, in fact I just started really getting involved with gold panning. I live about a 3 hour drive from the Gold Country in California so there is a lot of oportunity for me.

Yes I have thought about it. It is kinda hard not too since I live in the Old BC Gold Rush Trail. The whole region has been mined and panned. BC Canada has a huge amount of history cuz it was the center of the Gold Fever in the 1800s
