Has anybody heard of Prolotherapy??

My mum is suffering from arthritis and i was reasearching some alternative medicines and therapies on da net for arthritis.. then i came across something called prolotherapy which improves tissue growth and blood suppy to the bones and joints using natural stimulus... i sounded really good and im trying to find out if its available where i stay... has anybody ever heard of it and is it effective??
