Are you an Independent, a Democrat or a Republican?

I'm an Independent, I was a Democrat, but they left my principles along time ago.
As such I was a 6 year veteran of the Montana House of Representatives. That was a long, long time ago.
It's surprizing, what I believed as a 35 year old kid, is a hell of a lot different than I see things today.
I guess, as they say; age brings wisdom.
What are your thoughts and questions on the matter of democracy?
