Micheal Essien has been named the BBC African Footballer Award 2006, an Award which was won 2years consecutively by JAY JAY OKOCHA of Nigeria for the last 2 Editions. Essien nicknamed "The Train" by Prof. Jose Mourinho for his non stop drive and energy, impressed for Ghana at the World Cup 2006 as well as for our dear Team Chelsea this Season. He recieved 66% of the votes nearly twice as many votes of Egyptian Mohamed Aboutrika and our own in-form Striker, Didier Drogba
