This is something that I do almost every year. We had a seed exchange and also a coupon exchange. With the way prices are these days, a little goes a long way and these type of exchanges do help. If you end up doing this, let me know!

I participated in a seed exchange but it was 25 yrs ago. I have been considering it for this spring. I found these links in my favorites. I haven't really gone into them much but I found them worth saving. It's a great way to get heirloom plants that you can't easily find. You know all the good stuff our grandparents used to grow...lol
Good luck, I hope these links help someone.

I don't really know anyone who trades seeds and plants, so I think it'd be a little hard...
It would be easier if there was like, a centre people could go to or something to trade...
It'd be a lot more fun that way...

It really is not that hard. People list what they have/want. If you see something that you want you contact that person to get them address. You send a stamp self address envelope then that person sends you what you want. I have done this before and have recieved a lot. Also to help with cost if you do not have something to share at moment people may ask for the small padded envelopes or a couple of stamps. So for the cost of an envelope and a couple stamps you may get several items for $3.00 instead of 1 item for $6.00 at the store.

Hi...Most of these links are in the US. Are there any to be found in the UK?
I would be interested as I am just starting to seed up for my summer display in my garden and the seeds are quite expensive to buy.
I love Geraniums (Pelargoniums) but a packet of 9 or so seeds cost around £2.50!!

You can also go on craigslist and post for free in the community section and get people who are local to you to trade with.
I trade on gardenweb too and with people who visit my blog sometimes.
