I struggle mightily with tis one. There are so many good books out there, it almost seems sacriledge to read one more than once. Too many women, er...books, too little time.
I have read more than once,
The Lord of the Flies
Endless Love
Tao Te Ching
I highly recommend all of them to you, though you may only want to read them once.

I could list a hundred books I've read more than once. If I like a book, I'll read it again and again. There's no way I'm going to read every book out there. Too many books, too limited amount of time on this earth, part of which has to be done doing other things like sleep. If I went into reading with the idea that I had to fill a quota, reading would feel more like a job than a pleasure.
But, for a tiny sampling of books I've read again: Little Women, Anne of Green Gables, Jane Eyre, Dave Barry's Book of Bad Songs, Watership Down. And, all the time, I read new books that soon become books I've read more than once. More than 10 times, even.

Multitasking, baby. Read while I'm on the computer, while I'm eating, while I'm watching tv. Plus, I'm a homebody, so I'm not out going to parties and things, which gives me even more time to read.

I remember reading this book years ago. VC Andrews wrote a few mor books after this, but I couldn't get into them. I also liked Flowers in the Attic a lot as well; my sister actually gave it o me after she read it. It made me sad as well, and it I remember correctly, a bit scared....

I agree. There are so many books & so little time... I do reread some books and those are the ones I can't bear to part with. For example, Laurell K. Hamilton's Anita Blake series, Charline Harris and her Sookie Stackhouse series, Janet Evanovich and her Stephanie Plum line of books and a few others. A lot of books I do get rid of through an online book trading club. I'm a fast reader so I can go through books pretty quickly. Another one that I reread at least once a year is called The Wind Blows Backwords. It's actually a young adult/teenager book and I first started reading it when I was a teenager but here I am at 28 and I still enjoy it. I think a good book deserves to be read more then once.

Since my sleep disorders have been causing more concentration problems I don't read as much as I once did, but . . . I seem to re-read The Stand by Stephen King and Swan Song by Robert McCammon at least once a year. I have also read The Dragon Riders of Pern more than once. I understand some people never re-read a book, but there are some I like to revisit . . . like old friends.
