i'm not happy with my job at all. I have been looking for a new one. I have an interview monday and i'm nervous. How do i tell my current employer that i am looking for a new job and he will be getting phone calls needing my work history? He has been a very good employer and treated me like his own grandaughter. i don't want to hurt his feelings or leave him hanging. What do I do???

i wouldnt tell him anything, because your interview may not go so well an you may not get the job.if you tell your boss now you are looking for a job he may find ways just to let you go.an then you will not have any job.just be quite tell you are for sure you have another job.

I just don't want the office to call him and take him by suprise. Then he'll corner me up and ask why I didnt tell him first and all that crap. There may be others to call besides the one monday. I just don't want him to find a way to fire me when someone calls and he's taken off guard. Thanks for the input!!!

Well when you get this new job just ask for the two weeks notice or you could even work there part time or just a few days that you are off from the other job, if you think you could stand that. or hey i could work there in your place part time :)
