If you smoke cigarettes what are some ideas that you have come up with as to why you do? What do you like about it? What do you dislike about it? Have you ever tried to quit? If you tried and succeeded, what occured during that breaking point? If you have tried and haven't succeeded, for what reasons do you think that you were unable to stop all together.

yes, i do smoke, for me, it's my form of outlet and also at a busy time that i am with, smoking is the only way that relaxing me, it gives me time to clear my mind and think well. it's my break the ice manner that keeps me going at tough times. however, i am not as addicted as compared to others, i can stop when i want to, but i prefer not because i'm only goona deprive myself with something that relaxes me.

Yup I'm a smoker and I'm not proud to say that...
The only felling I can think of that comes from smoking is that of relaxing or the simple fact to think of yourself cool when you smoke.I tried to quit many times and completly failed...What I really hate about smoking is that is extremly bad for my healts...and I do hope I will manage to quit soon...before it may be too late :|
Oh and sometimes I smoke because I have nothing else to do...lol
My only advice is to never start smoking...don't be curious...it will do no good

I smoked for about a half a year. I loved the smell, i loved the taste and i loved the felling that i gave me. It also gave me something to do in socail situations. I decided to quit because my girlfriend didn't like the smell. it only took me the one time to quit and i haven't smoked since. It all about self control either you have it or you don't it is 10 times more effictive than any gum or patch

Hi twisedz, thank you for your response. A spouse is a good factor. I agree that it is largely based on self control when it comes to refraining from smoking.
