I am Upset I dont know whats up with this site and the people on it , I write a quailty discussion no one replies. My last discussion was on weight loss and If mylot users will be supportive I wrote that once a week I was going to post a pic of myself and my progress on my weight loss and Also details on what I am doing to lose weight, I asked How supportive mylot users will they offer encouragement? and yet no one replies so I dont get it, r people just here for the money or because they care and want friends? I know I only asked this question alittle over an hour ago but I asked another question " what are you earnings" within seconds people replied my question here is why are people like this? I thought we are here for friends becuase we dont make enough money to be here for the money?

I wrote a thing about weight loss too and no one replied to mine either. My problem is that I'm under weight though and always trying to think of ways to put on weight. I wonder whether some people spend all their time just posting discussions in the hopes of getting money? Like you say though, you couldn't exactly make a living out of it. I've been on MyLot for about 3 months. Not everyday, but fairly regularly. And I've only made about $2.37. Some of my discussions, like "should you give away a christmas present if you get two the same" got about 20 responses and others which I thought were more interesting, like asking what people thought about Saddam Heussein's execution, haven't received any responses at all. Guess it's luck of the draw and who's on and reads your topic at the time.

Friend,Never post to make others reply....Just start a topic in which u are interested and wait for people with similar opinions and views to respond....Then the discussion becomes lively ,effective and meaningful...If u dont get a response ,be happy that u are unique and u are the only one to think that way

I do know what you mean. I have posted quality discussions. and no body has responded it takes sometimes a couple of weeks for a response. I still have one that has never had a response. ohhh well I am here for the friend and knowledge I can gain from some of their discussions. To me a discussion on your weight loss and progress does not appeal to me, but that is just me. I do answer quality posts/discussions with quality answeres. I only answer the ones I feel I can answer with quality answers

this happens to us all. I too have started quality discussions (to me anyway) that get no responses at all. I think there are two major reasons for this. 1. Some discussions are easier to answer than others, people dont always want to think, they are lazy. I know it stinks but the more thought a discussion demands, generally the less responses it is likely to get. Not everyone always feels like engaging in joined up thinking . 2/ Not every discussion we start off engages large numbers of people. For me i would have nothing to say about losing weight, it just doesnt interest me. I only join in discussions that im interested in and have something to say, i assume many people do the same Anyway, keep on posting good luck

Hi Crystal, I just saw your message and I feel terrible for you. But I know the feeling. I've posted articles on other websites and I don't get any response. I'm not in this for the money. I just like to get other peoples input on different subjects. I'm happy that your losing weight. Maybe you can give me some inspiration.I really need it. I have been at this same weight for 2 years now. My doctor is happy that I have'nt gained any more, but she would like me to lose 35 lbs. I'm 57 and weigh 195 and I'm 5'3" tall. I would really like to hear back from you.

I think that happens to everyone. I know some discussions that I start are on things that are actually happening to me or something to do with what's going on....I know some topics are absolutly dumb and they get so many responses...oh well it's what people choose to answer I guess.....I'm not here for the money I'm just here to spend time when I have nothing better to do!

That does get disheartening, but it does happen to all of us. People want the quick reply questions. If you really want to find weight loss support on myLot, do a myLot search, look at others who have posted in this topic (or go from your profile interests) or go to discussions at the bottom under "similar discussions" Request to be friends with the others who are doing the same thing, and maybe form a little group here within myLot. I notice that they do not all get support either. Respond to other weight loss discussions, pretty soon people will be seeking you out. Good luch on your goals. I posted on one discussion the name of a website that evaluates diets, etc. (chasefreedom.com), someone replied with a website with calorie information. I think you guys should get together, because of this interest.

People pick and choose what they want to reply to. As for your weight loss post... why should I be concerned about your weight loss? I don't know you. I'm not trying to loose weight. It doesn't interest me. Post topics that are more general and appeal to a wide range of people. My discussions get plenty of responses, and they're quality discussions. The thing is, they appeal to a large variety of people.

Oh don't fret my friend. The reason why many haven't replied to your post is because there are so many who have started similar topics and they are not really concerned if people resopnd or not. They just start a discussion for the sake of it. Unfortunately the good ones get lost among all the rubbish. Sorry to say that, but its true. I've been here for over a month now and still can't judge what type of discussions evoke more number of responses. You just can't predict at all, users are so varied and from all over the world. so don't expect too much from users here, those who are genuinely interested will respond. You don't want responses just for the heck of it do you? And sicne more number of people are here solely for the money, they don't care for feelings and friends. Be patient is all I can say.:)

Hello, I just recently joined. I'm not on all the time (and certainly not in here for the main reason.) I'm just on here when I can. I love the topic of weightloss. I did several things after having my children, lost 22 lbs. I am now recovering from recent full tummy tuck surgery due to muscle separation. I do have some very simple things (non-medically related that worked for me to easily lose 22 lbs.) I'm still learning my way around the site as I can't get on all the time, but I'll try and see if I can find your topic. No worries, there are some that do truly care. I love this site, I think it's alot of fun.

yes its very sad that most of the people are here to earn money very fast, they even complain about their friedns not replying where they have responded to their friends.silly isnt it?i always reply to quality posts and never ever discriminate any discussion on the basis of friendship.i havenot come across your discussion otherwise i would have surely responded to yours.i am sorry.all the best for your future discussions.even i also started 6 discussions but i only 4 response in all these 6 discussions.hehe.now i only respond and hardly start a discussion because it not wrth my labor and time.thanks

I totally agree with you....I also HATE when I see discussions like "Do you think I'm pretty?", or "Would you kiss me?", and they have sooooooo many responses. It's just ridiculous. I am not here to make money....I truly enjoy making friends and learning people's differences in culture, understanding, and opinions. Come on people....stop replying to those immature discussions, and let's have some grown-up conversation!

I did reply to a discussion about weight loss, I'm not sure if it was your discussion or not though. I know that I've started discussions before and have had no replies too. So I don't know what it is.

How can you conclude that weight loss is a very good topic to discuss? Its the members interests and not the persons interest who starts a discussion. I see lot of people responding to topics good or bad I do not know. So keep posting.
