I read an article that the song from AIC by the title 'Rooster' was based on Vietnam war. Looking at the video I get this feeling. The theme is all war-type. But I am not sure if they would dedicate a song so late to Vietnam. What do ya all AIC listeners think?

Have you watched the beginning of the video? His father talked alittle and it is in fact pretty emotional, so to add to this forum based on your question, yes it has everything to do with his father. I gained a lot of respect for Jerry Cantrell and his father after watching this video, which happens to be one of my favorite songs of all time.

yes, this song is about Jerry Cantrell's father, who was called Rooster in Vietnam. He took part in this war.
