what does the groom's family pay for?..........church? priest? flowers? reception? bar/alcohol at reception?
help???? we are having a conflict over the bar/alcohol. does the groom pay for the alcohol or is that considered part of the reception?

I think most of these rules are no longer used. More & more couples today are paying for their own weddings.
