Where did this awesome food originate??

As far as I know, pizza originated in Italy. It was very different than what we know as pizza today, however. I'm sure what exactly the differences were, but they were great enough that seeing an example of original pizza might not make one think of today's pizza. As a side note, I also adore it and all its many toppings. Th oddest one I've had was a BLT (bacon, lettuce, tomato) pizza, but it was still delicious!
