Due to the rarity of preservation and the likelihood that speciation occurs in small populations during geologically short periods of time, transitions between species are uncommon in the fossil record.Transitions at higher taxonomic levels, however, are abundant. It is tru?

If evolution is true, maybe the gaps are unable to be discovered, because the remains are no longer able to be found, or may not have been found. Who knows, i think that it is true, but it is still one of the many unanswered/unsure questions.
