I feel that myLot should start some new categories also like Spain, France, Phillipines, China, Japan, India, Arabian countries etc. where users should be allowed to discuss the things in their own national language also?
Presently we can use only English here. What do you say about this?

I like the idea that I am able to converse with MYLOTers from all over the world and get their views on practically every subject under the sun. I am concerned that if other language groups are formed, those of us who speak only English will suffer greatly because we will lose the diversity that we now enjoy on MYLOT.

I totally agree with you. I like the diversity that we have on here now. I like that we all talk English and that we are all from different areas of the world. I like it the way it is. I know that payposter does this but I like mylot just the way it is.

well it seems like a nice idea..but its really best if we used one language only for all to used and besides we can get to know more or be able to know diff . culture and traditions by diff countries if we used one only one language...

i appreciate, this would certainly call for more users. however i think it will lead to certain inconveniences.
1. myLot moderators will find it hard to censor and keep check on the colloquial, subtle abusive words.
2. this could excite to vent out strong racialism and hatred towards other communities and nations
3. English would lose its purpose and so would mylot. it would lose its universal appeal
4. lastly, there will be a huge, remarkable change in mylot earning pattern and its likely the scoring would go low to meet up with the increasngly number of myLot moderators to work on national and regional basis.
thank you for an interesting diascussion

Actually, I don't mind it happenes or don't happenes.
I will learn English from The site, I can typing english every minmute, and make more friend from other country, that make me feel good.
Maybe it is easy to post use the motherlanguage, but that will make the member divided into some small groups, I don't want to see that happenes.

Yes dude I agree with you. We should start to have mylot for people of different languages. First we should see that from where there are more people and we should make a special mylot or have a different language for them.
For India specially you can choose your language to be either of the 30 official languages.

If they were to do this, that would mean they would probably get less responses and make less money. English is the most commonly used language throughout the world so making this site into different languages would probably cause a lot of confusion and less people would reply to their discussions due to not understanding all the different languages. I do not think it would work very well.

i think the idea it's preety cool by having lots of languages but it won't achieve the objective then.an example is when you discuss in spain the other users that don't use the language won't undertsand and the result is not joining the discussion.so it simply reduce the number of the discussion team. i think we better stick to english since everyone undertsands with it.

The appropriate choice if in mylot only used English, mylot in held indeed for togetherness not only was individual or personal, so by using our English could understand about the intention and the aim of discussions in this mylot, so not only one area or the country, if in mylot in allowed used the country's their respective language whether that from the other country will understand whether the intention and the meaning from this language

I agree with you. If we can start new discussion with their own language, people from the same country can meet each other in this discussion categories so they can share with each other and communicate with each other easily. With their own language it is possible for them to make the topic much interesting. Because they can start the topic with what is recently happen in their countries and what they expect from it. I hope mylot can make a new category with discussion on mylot with other language than english

That would probably be a good idea. I'd guess most users here are from the U.S. but I could be wrong. There are a lot of Americans who speak Spanish so that would be a good place to start. It would also be good for people like me who have been studying Spanish for 6 years now and would like to practice some real-life Spanish because I've only been to Mexico a few times and Spain once and I don't have a job right now (I'm in school, my last job had a lot of native Spanish speakers so that was pretty cool).

I really agreed with your proposal, so for that I the feeling mylot needed the moderator and other parts to bring about this, because therefore more will be arranged and orderly according to me,But whether this will go like at this time?
It is hoped admin mylot read this and wanted to consider your proposal.

At first, I was thinking what a wonderful idea this would be. But upon further thought, I have a strong feeling that Mylot would not be able to implement such an idea. Why? Because in order to do so, Mylot would have to hire representatives who spoke each of these languages, so that they would be able to know when people were cheating or spamming conversations in these other languages. I am certain that that is why Mylot has their current policy of only writing in English.

i can see the effects of having your suggestions does open certain options to specific users, giving them a cultural or regional group that they can actually work on.
however, like majority of the comments made, it does open a lot of difficulties and may prove to be hard to monitor and censor, if it needs to be.
discussions in english would be the best, common ground for all users since it allows everyone from everywhere to give their two cents worth (literally) in any topic here on mylot.
