Gimmie a word........

There are several words that people would be better off without. "Try" is the top of the list. But there is also "should" and "ought". They mean, "If you don't take my advice then your value system must be screwed up." And then there is the phrase, "That's not fair" almost always used to avoid what is.

MAYBE... like in...Do you think the government's action on this matter is a smart one? Maybe. or....Are you going to go for it? Maybe I think that word gives people something else to say instead of thinking of a certain answer or ensuring something's going to be done.

can't e.g. you can't do that. My dad has used this one on me for years, telling me I am incapable of doing things which he would like to do for me. There are now some things that I can't do without help, like drive in busy places as I have beentold for so long that I am unable to. "Do that, you can't ducky" was Yoda ever this negative - I think not.

"Should" it is a word that paralyzes, and enslaves. We often do not do what we plan because we "should" do something else. We lock ourselves into difficult situations because we are doing what we "should". My brother says "Don"t should on yourself"

I can think of many words we should just do away with..such as Hate and Stupid would be two key ones for me but there are others as well such as Can't (when used like "I cant do it"), Useless would be another (when directed at a person) Loser is another... and the phrase "Get over it" I cant stand that expression and get really riled when ppl say it to me....

I think a word that kills one spirit and stunts their growth is "Can't". you are defeated before you even give yourself a chance. my children are not allowed to say that word.
