why the people are crazy in cricket

i never play cricket..i dont know how to play that game

i am not crazy for cricket.. in past i was very crazy for cricket my interest is getting down due to recent performance by indian cricket team.... i think the thrill in cricket make us crazy

Craze is a function of pure liking of humans, so its just another field to craze for !

when u talk of people,i think u r talking largely about people from the indian sub continent,right??so i am directing my response on that actually it hs a very reasonable answer as well..two things have helped it.first,the tv broadcast of matches really revolutionaised it,as in olden days,people didnt hav anythin to watch except news and a few fixed soaps. secondly,when india won the world cup in 83,it really revolutionised the way ppl looked at the game.then came the first colourful world cup,the 92 edition which ws played with coloured clothind and white ball,with floodlit matches n all..so all that hs helped it reach the stage it actually stands at now..
