who are vikings?

People from Northern Europe are from the same race as that of the Vikings. They were a civilization and they were the first ones to arrive in North America (if I'm not mistaken, it was Leif Ericsson who was the captain of the ship that landed in Canada). They were known to be ruthless seafarers who pillaged villages. As for their myths, Odin is their chief god. Other known gods are Freya, Loki and Thor. Ragnarok, the end of the world, is also from Norse mythology.
