I think they are pretty to for decorations, I have a wind charm made into a dream catcher, it is very pretty I have it hanging over my porch.

You hang a dream catcher above you bed so that it catches all your bad dreams and it filters through the good ones. I don't know if this is exactly true and I hope someone here at mylot can enlighten me more, but this is my understanding of it.
I have one in my daughter's room which hangs from the ceiling above her bed. I tell her that it catches all her bad dreams. She very rarely has any bad dreams but when she does, I take the dream catcher down. I tell her that it must be 'full' and I take it outside and shake all the bad dreams out of it. She then goes back to bed and straight back to sleep and that's the end of it.

They are pretty I always like them I didn't know that it was for helping to get rid of bad dreams if you shake them.
