skates, roller skates, roller blading...what's the difference ?

i have a skate with four wheels on each shoe. two wheels in the front and two in the back. rubber wheels. i have good skills in using it. now, what's the difference between this and roller skates, roller blading... et al ?

what u just bought was a pair of quad roller skates...d ones with four wheels just like described. the ones with all the wheels in a line are caled in-line skates and those r for roler blading.the ones we use on ice are the ice skates and the ones run on d floor r roller skates.
skating has three variants...artistic, hockey and speed skating.
