Beauty or Technicality?

Hi all. Those of you whose choice media player is WinAMP, I have a question. What do you prefer in a WinAMP skin, its beauty (looks) or technicality that has gone into designing it? I'm asking this becoz I'm a WinAMP skinner who uses skin-making software to design WinAMP skins. This is opposed by many, as I have observed. These people who oppose the use of software claim that doing it the 'hard way' is preferable than going for the 'easy way'. So my question is, what is it u exactly look for in a WinAMP skin, the looks of the skin or the technicalities that have gone into making that skin?
