Is india's stand in kashmir issue is right?

Do you think that india is on the right side of the kashmir issue and they have every right to claim it. I think that india have messed up the issue by not clearly solving the issue in 1947 itself. Now after these years and particularly after the rise in extremism and terrorism in the valley, it is time to decide and solve the issue once and for all by having reffrendam or should consider making kashmir an autonous state by giving up its rights by both india and pakistan. do you agree with me or you have a better solution....
