It's not correct to call new Intel's Core Duo processors Pentium 4 dual core, because they are not based anymore on Pentium 4 Netburst architecture! The fastest processor on the market at the moment is a Core 2 Duo from Intel, a good E6600 maybe, two cores running a 2.40 GHz each one. AMD processor should be lightly slower than new Intel Core 2 Duo. The important thing to play is the videocard. If you are building now a new configuration, and you can spend how much you want, you should consider buying a new DX 10 card, an Nvidia 8800GTS (cheaper) or a new Nvidia 8800GTX, it's already DX10 and Crysis will work good I hope =). If you want a cheaper videocard, you could consider a Nvidia GX2 (2 gpu in the same card), or a 7900GTX...or a x1950. Try to buy at least 1 GB of ram or more!

i prefer AMD since i am using one.I use AMD because
--comparatively cheap
--high performance
--high stabilty
--greater support for gaming
i recommned AMD FX 64 bit computing. It has many advantage over intel pentium 4 processors.but i heard that intel pentium duo core2 is much better than other precedures and a like performance with AMD 64.so i f you are going to buy a new computer either you go for AMD FX 64 or Pentium 4 Duo core 2.
thank you!

There's no doubt that the Intel Pentium 4 3.0c is an extreamely fast processor.
