whats up with yahoo messenger?

when im in mylot i always sign in to yaho messenger so that i can get mil alerts if someone respond to my discussion but this past two days the alet mail seems not working and one of my friends is also experiencing dificulty in mking voice chat with her husband abroad... does yahoo messenger have technical problem? is this a sign that yahoo is going down..since i also read lots of discussion here like "what if yahoo suddenly got shut off?"..

if Mylot mails are directed to Yahoo Inbox ,
or to a special folder then we get mail
alerts from Messenger .
Voice servers are not working sometimes .
if we wait sometime , and try from the
other end then it connects to voice chat .
i.e. if your friend was trying to call
her husband then she should leave the
conference and her husband should invite
to join - and vice versa .

actually yes it is directed to yahoo inbox that is why i use it to know if someone respond to my discussion cause before yahoo gives alerts whenever i recieve email but now it appears to be not working properly.
