First sit or stand in a comfortable position, say to yourself, Let there be no thoughts for a while. Say for a duration of 3-4 seconds But,your mind being fickle, starts doing exactly opposite of your wishes. Don’t worry it is the characteristic of the minds all over the world.. But I assure, you can train it and tame it. Allow them. Let them flood your mind. Don’t lose your patience. If it is necessary, close your eyes. Better bring back some of your cheering moments.. Wait for the thoughts to subside.. You will notice gradually your cheering moments are taking the centre stage,. and your sundry moments receding.. That means your thoughts are restricted to your cheering moment only now. Now half battle is won. . Man, if you continue this process without quitting, a moment is bound to come when your thoughts are at your beck and call. I’m reiterating, though it takes some time, your mind will become as friendly as your pet. This is the most important step of Meditation. The other things like Asanas are easy to do. To reap best results, you can continue further by adapting to Asanas. I feel it is enough to put you in a comfortable position. By this you might have understood, that meditation is nothing but being calm and quiet while sitting or standing or even driving . You may ask, where its going to lead. Friend the whole secret of creativity in any sphere of life lies in this simple fact. Meditating is easy, once you have your quiet mind, then the world is at your feet.

I like to meditate in the morning once the kids go to school. It gives my day a great start and I can get any stress I am feeling out of me. I also do it before I go to bed to make myself have great dreams. It pushes out all the stress from me so I am able to sleep better. I started doing it after I gave birth to my youngest daughter. I has been a godsent.

Yes the very purpose of Yoga is to make you focussed. Once you are focussed, you 'll know your priorities. The process makes you see vividly your goal.Any time is suitable .But you should ensure a constant time.

I think sitting with eyes closed, simply observing your breath going in and out helps to get into the habit of meditating. You can do it anytime, anywhere. Even when you are waiting for something to download from the internet, close your eyes and just observe your breath. It makes you feel fresh.

I usually only do deep breathing to calm my mind and my muscle. I learn to come even on high level of stress and tiredness. You should start training your body, spirit and mind by decreasing meditation and come with the stress. This is good especially when you need to answer some difficult metamathematical task. It's odd when you do meditation every one minute when doing this task.
