Why did God tell the people of Isreal to kill there enemies. It was against His law. I want to know what christain think about this.

you're talking about the old testament containing the old commandments of GOD. the commandments of GOD have now be summarized in the NEw testament of the BIBLE. The new testatment says that we should love our neighbors, enemies, do good to those who hate us.
