Some members have few discussions oppened, some open a lot of discussions. Should we start a new discussion every time we visit mylot? how many? How long should they be? I read lots of one line discussions even if, it should not be the case. I also read lengthy ones with some good insights , others, never mind. I make it a point to create at least one new discussion every time I visit mylot and target to post 50 responses so long as time permits.

I think one does not have to start a new discussion everytime/everyday one logs in. It is not a rule! But, in case, one has those many subjects lined up, provided they are goo enough to start a discussion, there is no limit on how many discussions one should start.
You said you make it a point to start a discussion everyday. I think thats a rule you have set for yourself. I have read your discussions and I never found any discussions just for the sake of starting one. Whereas I have seen many of my 'friends' here with at least 4-5 discussions a day with a single or no reply at all!! All they want is to start a discussion with a picture and earn 3 cents!
To cut the story short, it could be a personal rule set with regard to the number of discussions. As long as we get new and good discussions, the number doesn't matter!

What is a quality discussion for you to respond to? I'm trying to measure quality of discussions, your response on how to view quality discussions will be very much appreciated.

I am not as lucky as you!
I am working almost 12 hours a day. I spend some time at mylot only when I have a little free time. Once i get home, i don't even want to see a computer :D
So, I haven't set a target for myself. It's just that I try to reply as many discussions as I can..if I find some quality discussions though ;)
Thanks!

I'm not sure there is a way to pick how many discussions to start! IF I think of somethig good to write about I'll definately throw it out there, but I really have no goals when I log on!

That's pretty funny! I really don't set a time table for how long or what I will do, I always start with responding to my discussions though, then go back to discussions I've responded to, then go to some of my friends new discussions!

Its fun to make some goals here, you know what I go read and try to respond to those who respond to my discussions, invite new friends and go around my friends list, try to respond to their discussions then open a new topic, why? I am trying to be consistent in posting at least 50 per visit, sometimes my friends here beside me laughs at me because i seem like in a hurry to complete a deadline on something and I do not want to get disturbed, I even time my self to get speed improvement, Quantity and quality must of course strike a balance, here. Lol! try it, its fun

if you can think of a new discussion...it's ok to start one...but dont start a discussion just for the sake of it. remember to maintain the quality of it. i dont really start a new discussion daily...LOL i guess the last time i started one was weeks ago..i usually prefer to respond to discussions. :D

I don't think its necessary. But if you feel like it then good for you i think you'll earn more.I don't get so much replies on my topic so i just focus on responding someone else's discussion.

Thanks for your response, sometimes when I go resppond to discussions I try to look into how many replies they've got. Most of those who got good responses like 80 and above are from discussion on live and everyday living, have you noticed. I also make it a point to visit and respond to those who responded to me first and then to the rest of my friends, as long as time permits. keep posting good discussions from the way you observe what topics are most respponded to by members here, enjoy mylot. Thanks for your response. Visit your page soon.

I'm registered 3 days ago and have only 1 discussion started. I got only 3 replays on one life question...
I thought people will be more interested to replay, but that's not happen. It seems life is not at first place for someones....
We can see here on some chit-chat discussions more than 100's replays without meaning.
I'm sorry but again sad thought from me...

there is no constraint that you should post a discussion when you visit here.i prefer to write replies to the discussions rather than starting discussion.if i really feels to start then i will start a discussion. There is no restriction for the length of the topic, number of discussions etc.as long as you have time and good knowledge to start you can go ahead and start.

Agree, I also do respond more than create new discussions. But you know there are a lot of ideas that come tome while responding to discussions, so whenever i have the enough time to open them, i do. most of the times though, because I prioritise commenting on commenting to responses I got in my discussions oppening new topics are left for the next visit, the trouble is when I come here again my time is gone in commenting to replys, but I enjoy it, and I like it better. I will have time to respond to your discussions tonight promise, Just need to go now, keep posting your responses. Thank you

I try to start a few discussions a day, but only if I can think of something worthy of being discussed. I try not to just add nonsense. I only start discussions that I am interested in and would come back to read the replies.

if u hav any questions u can ask..but there is no necessary to start a discussion every time u visit...i think u earn money when u start a discussion..

I think it depends on whether you have any discussions that want to bring out here or not. I usually read others' discussions and respond to the discussions if I have anything to say, or I'll start new discussions only when I want to get some opinions or hear from others. It's also good for you to set a target to create at least one discussion per visit, as it triggers you to think of new topics too. ^_^

thanks, there are times when I visit the pages of my friends and I cant find new discussions to answer, perhaps, it will be grreater if you try to think of adding discussions regularly so when I visit you there will be post to respond to, your discussions also draw a sort of a picture of you

When I visit mylot. I always search a topic which was interesting and I had an idea to respond it. But when I out of topics to respond. I start to think if I have any questions that I want to share with other. If I have I started a new discussion with the question I had. But usually everytime I had a question in my head. I log into mylot and started it directly.I think to make a target how much you must post for a day is good. Because you'll earn much earnings with it. But if you join mylot just to have fun you don't have to do that. Because all you do here is only for discuss each other not to earn money.

thanks, you have a cozy page. It makes me practice my speed in typing and thinking of words to respond to discussions if i go for 50 post, it is like a game for me beating my last personal record, however time is real constrate because i also have something else to do, try to beat yourself how consistent can you be at 50 post per day. Its fun, to take a race with yourself at this.

I don't think every time when you open myLot start with discussions. If you have good discussions in your mind, you can start with it. If one line response to discussion convey everything, what is wrong in it? On the contrary, if the lengthy response to discussion doesn't pertain to it, which one you will accept?

Thanks, The trouble in one line discussion, even if you can express your thought in it commpletely is that, the one answering will be deducted some points as per the terms here in mylot, have you reviewed the terms lately, as soon as I read somebody discuss this, I tried to avoid responding to one line discussions.

you can create new discussion as many as possible. but you must sure that your topic is good and people need to respond your discussion. if you haven't no idea to create it, you can just response other discussion.

I like your goals! ^_^ I try to reply to 70-100 discussions during the day, and then if I have time at night and feel like it I will post a few topics of my own. I really don't always get that many replies in some of my topics, but I'm just happy to get replies at all, and I'm finding it easier to get replies the more friends I make here on Mylot, anyway! So I am really enjoying starting topics. But I still think that it is more risky since we dont get paid unless we get a reply to our topic, meaning if you open a topic and no one replies you basically just wasted your time *laugh*

You must have a good speed in typing, to ever respond to 70 - 100 discussions, Guess you are earning hah! I'm struggling to reach my first pay yet, although I enjoy this interaction thing with lots of people in the world i suppose.

I THINK OPENING DISCUSSIONS DOES NOT MATTER THAT MUCH WHAT MATTERS MOST IS HOW MANY DISCUSSIONS HAVE YOU REPLIED

when I open new discussions, there is a point added to me, and it is also where I meet new friends like you, with a lot of members, I first meet and invite those who responds to my discussions and support them too, sometimes when I visit friends who does not open new topics, i found that i have already replied to all of their discussions already so I just send them a message, although now when i have limited time i can't visit all my friends already. So please open new discussions for your friends to respond to. Thanks
