I am trying to understand the logic to the payouts on MyLot. What do you actually get paid for?

Even I was wondering if we get more points for responses or not. I didn't see any change in my discussion even after getting 20 responses. I just don't understand. I hope somebody who has got more points from responses joins this discussion...
