Has anyone else named their cat this?

Nope - my cat's name is Charlie - but Ember sounds like a good unique name.

No,I know of none.It is a beautiful name though.I've always felt that a cat chooses thier own name.You can call them what you like but they'll only answer to the one THEY like.;-)

I had a Coal Grey kitten and i named her Asher... I think Ember is gorgeous :)

Did you name her Ember because of her color? I had an Ash-ly. Solid grey that slept in the fireplace ashes when I first got her (picked her up off the interstate). I would always be looking around the house calling kitty, kitty, never finding her. Then later wonder how ashes were ending up being in different places in the house. Once I started calling her Ashly she would come when called.

i havent named mine ember i havent even heard of a name for a cat like that but i think its a good name so if its alright i think i would like to take it for a cat in my future

No, i have never heard of a cat called Ember before now :) But i think that is a very beautiful name for an animal like a cat. I don't think that my next cat will be named Ember, but maybe it will be possible. I will try to ask to my parents if they agree with this fantastic name: Ember. Thank you for the suggestion :)
