Is it me or does it seem like no matter what kind of upgrades you put on your computer the graphics and animations of The Sims 2 will cause it to lag. I don't know what to do about this problem. I was wondering if anybody had any solutions to this problem.

I know that The Sims2 is much heavier than The Sims 1, so you need a ninja pc. Tell me what type of pc you have and I could suggest a new configuration or a component upgade. Maybe you only need a faster 3D video card!

I think it is my video card. I got a little Dell mini tower. I can't find a video card for it. It needs a little short video card but I forgot what it was called and it's not sold in stores

I'd have to agree. The better your PC the better off you'll be. I haven't had any problems with my computer, except a few minor problems since I've gotten it and started playing it. I'll probably free up some space so I can make things better.

I have a 5 year old PC and it runs my game g with all the expansions and various downloads for the game and there is no lag. I remember when I first got the game I was using the same PC and there was a slight lag, but I updated all the drivers for my PC and everything went fine, so I'd recommend that you update your PC drivers before yopu upgrade your hardware.
