Should education be compulsory to 18?

I don't know about other counrties, but in the UK, full time education is only a legal reqirement until you are 16 years old and after that you are free to leave school although most people continue with education until 18 if not go on to higher education in univercity. Do you think education should be compulsory right up to the age of 18?

yea, 16 is good because some people really dont think they need education because they are going into trades. on the other hand there is the situation with more kids on the streets who will soon be homeless adults

I'm from Scotland and I finished school at 15 (really rather stupid of me). How about this idea...make it either compulsory till 18 or you can drop out at 16 and do 2 years national service in the military.
