Buying things in the new year

There are certain things we are looking to buy this year that I am looking forward to.
1. A new car. We are hoping to buy new, which we should be able to do. Which will be a HUGE treat for me since I have never owned a new car before. Looking at the spring time frame or so to go out and get one. You really don't understand how exciting this is for me. I've been wanting a new car for how long now? And its just getting closer. Which means so many things!!
2. New wedding rings. Since Jason can not find his wedding ring. He asked me if I wanted a new one too when he got his so ours kind of matched again. My taste have changed since I bought this one, so getting a new one would be super exciting for me too. I am eyeing silver type of ones, but that is far as I have gotten yet. I saw one in Gordans last month when we get to get my ring checked that I really liked for Jason, which brought up this whole new rings thing.
3. New glasses for both of us. Me possible contacts, still not sure I want this, but its a thought and option.
4. A foam matterass topper for our bed. They are coming on sale at Costco and we are thinking we'll get one. Though the bed we got from Costco was okay, its not great. We are thinking the foam padding might really help it feel a bit more comfortable.
5. A wii. We think this system will be much fun. It'll be a fun game for us to play together. As soon as we can get our hands on one, we'll buy it.
That is all I can think of. I swear there is more...but those are our top five "buys" so far this year. Do you have anything that you are thinking of buying this year?

Actually we are considering buying our first plasma TV, looking to get a 50-52 inche, they run around 2500 dollars in our area. So we will see what happens

There's nothing new I really need this year. I got a new computer last year.
I think the new wedding rings would be a great idea. Are you going to have some kind of cerimony, or perhaps save them for your anniversary? That is definitely a cool idea.

I think we'll just get them when we find them. My husband lost his at the Casino somewhere/somehow back in September and he was really upset over it. Probably won't do any special cermoney renewal or anything this time.

We are going to buy a second car, bedroom furniture, and a new wedding band for me (I want a sapphire and diamond band that matches my engagement ring). I am sure we will buy more but those are the high ticket items.

Theres not too much that I plan on buying this year. We need a new bathroom floor, I know, how exciting is that,lol. I also plan on buying a new playpen for when my youngest grandson stays with me. My boyfriend wants to buy a new stereo but we will see about that.

Right now I we a buying a lot. We hope to buy this lot, build a new house and sell the one we are in! WOW! It will either be a good year or a bad one! I have my fingers crossed!

Yes. My family is finally considering purchasing a cell phone. I know, we are so out of date on that one! *laugh* We have two working computers with internet connections, three digital cameras, a DVD player, we own a treadmill, etc, etc. But we've never had a single cell phone. I'm really excited about the idea of finally owning one! And I would also like a DVD recorder. But I doubt that we are getting one of those anytime soon. Good luck with your family's purchases! ^_^

We got our VERY first cell phone last Christmas time frame because we were going on a long vacation and wanted for people to be able to contact us since we were going to see friends on this vacation. So I can totally undertand your excitment. You feel like your the only one left in the world that hasn't gotten one yet.

My girlfriend and I decided to buy cell phones this year. We hav eboth had them in the past but the cost for each of us to have one was getting to be way too much. We dicided to get one on a share plan and the bill is going to be much cheaper for the both of us.
She hasn't had a cell phone for over a year and I can't use mine here in Canada, so now we both have a way to keep in touch with one another during the day or if one of us is going to be late coming home we have a way to stay in touch.

I dont wanna spend money this year ,, I only wanna earn and invest and makes lot and lot of money and ultimately get myself a laptop, handycam, a bike and a posh car. Well dreamz do live but money dont.....

The one big thing I want to buy this year is my new home. I currently work and i also have somethings going on online that i think are going to really allow me to do that. I am very excited to even be able to think that buying my very first home is something that is possible. wish me luck

this year without question i will be buying a ps3, thats when sony can pull their finger out and release the thing.
im also looking for a new car for my partner but supplies are limited. i been thnking about a ST24 Mondeo or perhaps a 3.18 BMW havent made up my mind yet!

We can get our hands on the PS3's, but we can't seem to find the Wii's at all. Sad that thing we dont' want we can find lots of, but what we want we can not find for nothing.

We are buying a new car too! We have to get a minivan actually. With 3 kids and 1 one the way, a car just doesn't cut it!!! We are finishing our basement also, so we will be buying lots of stuff for that like, a TV, computer desk, furniture, etc...the list goes on!

I do have some things that I would like to buy during this new year and my top one would be a new car and hopefully a fuel efficient one. I would also like to get a new air/heating unit for my townhouse. Another thing that I would like to get is new flooring for my kitchen. Those are the things that I really would like to get this new year.

Last week we plucked down around $1200 for some new furniture. Our old couch is absolutely trashed and we went out late last year (several, several times) to furniture stores near and far. Did so much looking that the actual purchase of the furniture got to be an issue between my husband and I. A whole weekend worth of arguing over something as trivial (or at least I thought it was trivia) as furniture selection! It's over now and I'm GLAD!!
