When my husband and I have kids, we're going to give them unique names. That way they don't feel like they were named after one certain person.

Thats what I want to do. I don't want my kids to have common names.

I have already named him Agellos-Marios. Agellos is the greek work for "angel" and Marios is the greek male name for Holy Mary mother of christ.

I prefer unique but not something that will get made fun of.

i would always name my babies male or female unique names. i named my son SKYE (which is a unique name in the Philippines)RUBEN. I added on the Ruben which is my father's name. my dad loves his grandson a lot. i am not sure if being a namesake added to that. i find it nice to have a special name for a person plus a name of one of his ancestors. it makes a grand connection.

Joel because it's a good Biblical name that isn't long and unpronounceable....I jokingly tell my mom that i'm going to name my son Obadiah because that's my favorite Biblical name.
